This collection describes the artist’s love story with Quebec City, particularly Old Quebec, neighborhoods where Cristobal spent many years of his young adulthood.
It is undeniable that these alleys made him fall under the spell of a unique architecture, but also the presence of these carriages crisscrossing the streets made it a completely romantic subject.
After a number of paintings executed with the composition of daylight, Cristobal fixes the permanence of his collection under the influence of nocturnal light. This composition gives it unique challenges and possibilities; contrasting paintings with romantic and mysterious atmospheres.
He likes to make them alternate between moments of snow and moments of rain, unique contexts to make the light appear in the painting.
This impressionist collection has nearly 300 paintings to date.
