It was essential that this subject had to evolve towards a more creative representation. The concept of oversize has always seduced Cristobal, a large-format faces series that require observation from a distance.

The mixed technique including fluids in acrylic requires two process work sequences; one holding the canvas vertically (brush and acrylic) the other horizontally (acrylic fluids).

These works are a marriage of emotional representation of an anatomical subject; gestures, expressions, looks; we can feel the presence of the on the canvas. And beyond the image a contemporary creative process with great technical freedom, color, contrast, paint manipulation.

This large format collection includes in some of its executions diptychs or triptychs; works by assembled panels of two or three pieces.

These works are executed on gallery canvas painted sides.
