This collection about a festive seaside day subject, the bathing, leisure stay under the sun and umbrellas is both evocative and dreamy. Indeed, it takes us to these pleasure moments of vacation but, these works without details, leave freeway to imagination and dream.
Curiously as a turning point, the titles open the doors to an unsuspected intimacy, giving way to a blank page reserved for the viewer. You are no longer at an apparent distance, but you are with the bathers at the center of the stage, in the middle of infinite dialogues and possible and imaginable interactions; a source of joy and amusement.
You find in these works an inexhaustible equation of color combinations. First the background with the sky, the ocean and the surf of the waves with changing colors and values. Added to these the umbrellas, bathers and all the equipment that comes with them. Finally, the sand itself becomes an abstract space that allows the artist to create with iridescent pigments: gold, silver and copper, adding additional creative value to the work.
This collection also borrows the mortar and the use of paint knife in the process of paint manipulation, thus creating textures variety and richness.
These works are executed on gallery canvas with painted sides.
