This collection display Cristobal works with this medium that he has enjoy from a young age.

During his early career in art, he painted more than 2000 pastel portraits in the Place des Artistes du Vieux Québec.

He joined the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada around 1995. He won numerous awards with countryside, marinas, cityscapes, people scenes and still lives.

In 2004 he is honored in the first Pastel Society selection as a Pastel Master.

This medium gives him all the freedom of compositional tools; contrasts in values and colors, intensity and vibration of the pigment, soft and hard edges effect, degree of detail.

He makes it became an indoor studio medium but also an open-air medium, allowing him to visit the subject throughout the year and explore the palettes of the four seasons.

He thus translates all the subjects that are dear to him; portrait, nude, landscape, still life, life scene.
