Entre amis à Le Clairon des Chasseurs

This collection was a pivot in the artist evolution from a classical art towards a more creative art. A desire to go beyond the romantic subject of his beloved Quebec old town which had inspired him so much. The desire to paint a universal subject in a contemporary way was born.

You find in these works characters with little narrative, more impersonal, nonetheless, by the color composition, they find a key place in the composition. 

Always present, an impression of mirage and rain invades the scene in which umbrellas and sunshades take place. We recognize familiar meeting places; cafes, sidewalks and parks.

This collection uses mortar, modeling paste to consolidate a richness and diversity in the painting manipulation process, welcoming a work with generous textures. The artist works in this composition with brushes and palette knives.
